ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) carded a round of 76 to lead McDaniel at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational in men's golf action on Saturday.
As a team, the Green Terror posted a round of 317 to finish fourth. Gettysburg won the 13-team invitational with a round of 302.
In addition to Vance's seventh-place finish, Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) and Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) tied for 11th overall with a round of 80.
Mason Woolford (Pasadena, Md./Severna Park) posted a round of 81 to finish as part of a tie for 19th place overall.
Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) rounded out the McDaniel competitors in 36th place with a score of 84.
Shawn Macburnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) and Tyler Joven (Salisbury, Md./Wicomico) competed as individuals. Macburnie was 25th with a round of 82 while Joven finished 41st with a round of 86.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference championship at The Bridges on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. Action begins at 11:30 a.m. each day.
