MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) carded a round of 79 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Shootout at the Dye Club of Barefoot Golf Resort in men's golf action on Wednesday.

As a team, the Green Terror posted a score of 324. Rutgers-Camden won the five-team tournament with a score of 314, edging Denison by two strokes.

In addition to Vance's sixth-place finish, Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) finished ninth overall with a round of 81.

Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) and Mason Woolford (Pasadena, Md./Severna Park) were part of a tie for 14th place overall with a round of 82.

Shawn Macburnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) rounded out the McDaniel competitors in the lineup with a round of 85, finishing 22nd.

Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) and Andrew Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) each posted a round of 83 to tie for 17th place, playing as individuals.

The Green Terror returns to action at its own spring invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 26 and 27. Action begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
