WILSON, N.C. – Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) posted a two-under round of 70 on the first day to key a 14th-place overall finish after 36 holes, leading McDaniel to a fifth-place showing at the Barton Intercollegiate sponsored by Greenlight in men's golf action on Monday and Tuesday.

As a team, the Green Terror posted a round of 293 to sleep on a share of the lead before carding a round of 317 on Tuesday to finish with a 36-hole total of 610. Southern New Hampshire won the 16-team invitational with a two-day score of 592 as the only team to break 300 in both rounds.

Norwitz followed up his round of 70 on Monday, which was also tied for the lead, with a score of 81 on Tuesday to finish 14th overall with a score of 151.

Shawn Macburnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) finished 26th overall with a score of 154. The freshman carded a round of 73 on Monday before posting a score of 81 on Tuesday.

Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) finished 29th with a score of 155, firing a first-round score of 75 and second-round total of 80.

Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) had McDaniel's best second round, posting a score of 77 on Tuesday. He registered a round of 80 on Monday to finish 35th with a total of 157.

Mason Woolford (Pasadena, Md./Severna Park) rounded out the competitors with a score of 158 (75-83) to finish 42nd.

Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) and Andrew Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) competed as individuals. LaSarso finished 60th overall with a score of 162 (80-82) while Gordon posted just a round of 80 on Monday.

The Green Terror returns to action in the Myrtle Beach Shootout at Barefoot Golf Resort on Wednesday.
