HAVERFORD, Pa. – Jim Heilman (Lutherville, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) finished 27th to lead McDaniel to a ninth-place finish at the 2016 Centennial Conference (CC) men's cross country championship on Saturday.

Time and Score:

• The Green Terror finished ninth at the meet with 202 points. A total of 103 runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance. Haverford won the nine-team championship meet on its own campus course with 34 points. Johns Hopkins was second with 43 points. Dickinson (107), Muhlenberg (121), Swarthmore (151), Gettysburg (173), Franklin & Marshall (179) and Ursinus (199) rounded out the field.

Head of the Class:

• Jim Heilman turned in a time of 26:44.5 to finish 27th.

Five of a Kind: The following athletes rounded out the scoring five at the meet:

• Will Greene (Westminster, Md./Delone Catholic) finished 35th (27:02.3)
• Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) finished 40th (27:10.6)
• Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) finished 70th (28:31.7)
• Michael Gallagher (Elko, Nev./Elko) finished 81st (29:16.1)

• Michael Gallagher bettered his previous best by 18 seconds.
• Alex Panagakos (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) bettered his previous best by 13 seconds.
• Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) bettered his previous best by 25 seconds.
• Caleb White (Glen Burnie, Md./Baltimore City College) bettered his previous best by 1 minute, 9 seconds.
