HERSHEY, Pa. – Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) carded a career-low round of 75 to lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational in men's golf action on Tuesday.
The Green Terror sent its B-Team to the tournament two days after the starters played 36 holes in Virginia. The squad combined to post four rounds in the 70s and shoot a score of 307 – one shot off the pace of team championship, Stevenson.
LaSarso finished tied for fourth place in the field while Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) posted a round of 76 to place tied for eighth.
Freshman Chris Binet (Oreland, Pa./Springfield Twp.) made his collegiate debut with a round of 77 to place 10th overall.
Shawn MacBurnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) finished 16th overall with a round of 79 while Andrew Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) turned in a round of 81 to finish 25th.
The McDaniel A-team returns to action at the George Mason Patriot Invitational on Sunday and Monday.
