ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Jim Heilman (Lutherville, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) finished 40th to lead McDaniel at the Navy Invitational in men's cross country action on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished sixth as the only Division III team in the field of seven. The Midshipmen won their own invitational with 25 points.
Heilman turned in a time of 28:18.63 in the squad's first 8,000-meter run of the season.
Thomas Runner (Elkridge, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) made his 8K debut with a time of 29:10.34 and crossed 43rd overall.
Kyle Crouse (Keymar, Md./Francis Scott Key) finished 47th with a time of 31;)8.47.
Ian Yoshioka (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) and Cryus Darwoolla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) followed Crouse across the line in times of 31:38.03 and 31:57.42, respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26.
