ASHLAND, Va. – Alise McNutt (Flourtown, Pa./Mount St. Joseph) posted a two-round score of 179 to lead McDaniel to a ninth-place finish at the Randolph-Macon Invitational in women's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.
The Green Terror combined to post a 36-hole score of 732, carding a round of 365 on Saturday followed by a round of 367 on Sunday. Washington and Lee won the 10-team tournament with a score of 663 (323-310).
McNutt fired McDaniel's lowest round of the tournament, posting a score of 87 on Saturday before carding a round of 92 on Sunday to finish tied for 37th.
Katie Pass (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished 40th overall with matching rounds of 91 to finish with a score of 182.
Casey Marson (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) finished 46th overall with a two-round score of 185. She posted a round of 95 on Saturday before being the only McDaniel player to score better on Sunday with a round of 90.
Janine Borrelli (Rockville, Md./St. John's College) finished 48th with a round of 186 (92-94) while Alex Philo (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) was 52nd with a score of 203 (97-106).
The Green Terror returns to action at its own McDaniel Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at The Bridges Golf Club. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. both days.
