Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored the game's final four goal to overcome a 3-2 deficit and defeat McDaniel 6-3 in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Wednesday.
Gabrielle Yore (Olney, Md./Sherwood) was one of three different players to score for the Green Terror (6-5, 1-4 CC), scoring her team-leading 13th goal of the season.
Kim Monteferante led the Red Devils (7-3, 3-2 CC) with two goals.
Trialing 3-2, Emilie Arrix drew the hosts even at the 45:01 mark before Chelsea Kramer tallied an unassisted marker just over seven minutes later for a 4-3 edge.
Monteferante scored twice in a 3-minute, 24-second span to set the final margin with 10:24 to play.
Amber Dey staked Dickinson to a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute before Sarah Bach (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) hit Rachel Cressman (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) on a corner for the senior's fourth goal just 2:28 later.
Yore finished a Bach assist in the 26th minute for a 2-1 advantage but Merritt Davis evened the game just 4:26 before halftime.
Haley VanNostrand (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) finished a pass from Erica DeColli (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) for a 3-2 lead in the 42nd minute.
Christina Gooding (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) made 14 saves in goal for McDaniel. The Red Devils finished with a 32-12 advantage in shots and 15-5 advantage in penalty corners.
The Green Terror returns to action at Stevenson on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
