ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Freshman Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) won the Gettysburg Fall Invitational to lead McDaniel to a fourth-place finish in men's golf action on Thursday.

The Green Terror's B-Team carded a round of 318 to finish just two strokes behind tournament winner Messiah. York (Pa.) matched the Falcons with a 316 but Messiah was awarded the title on the fifth-card score. Gettysburg was third with a round of 317 at The Bridges Golf Club.

For the second time in three collegiate tournaments, Vance finished on top. On Thursday, he carded an even-par 72 behind a 33 on the back nine to win by two shots.

Andrew Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) and Dominic Seelig (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) each posted rounds of 81 to finish tied for 18th.

Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) and Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) each carded a round of 84 to finish tied for 33rd in the 10-team field.

The Green Terror returns to action back at The Bridges in its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Invitational to close the fall on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4 and 5. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. both days.
