WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored a pair of second-half goals to secure a 3-1 win over No. 20 Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Wednesday.

Freshman Gabrielle Yore (Olney, Md./Sherwood) recorded her second career hat trick to lead the Green Terror (7-4, 3-2 CC), scoring all three goals.

Lily Mott tallied for the Red Devils (9-3, 3-2 CC), finding the backboard just 1:17 into the game on a corner from Amber Day.

Off a corner in the 28th minute, Bayley Vohs (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood) inserted to Sarah Bach (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) on the near wing. Bach sent the ball across the field to the backside post, where Yore knocked it to give Bach her first point of the season and a 1-all deadlock.

Yore put her team on top, finishing on a scramble in front of the cage at the 43:04 mark.

In the 65th minute, Haley VanNostrand (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) sent the ball into the circle, where Yore dribbled around a pair of defenders, drew the keeper and fired a hard shot into the net for an insurance tally.

McDaniel finished with a 12-4 advantage in shots, including holding a 6-0 margin in the decisive second half. The Green Terror also had a 10-5 advantage in penalty corners.

McDaniel returns to action at No. 15 Lebanon Valley on Tuesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
