ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) carded a round of 76 on Sunday to finish 15th overall and lead McDaniel at its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic in men's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.

As a team, the Green Terror posted a two-round score of 645, posting a round of 323 on Saturday and a score of 322 on Sunday at The Bridges Golf Club to finish tied for 10th. Franklin & Marshall was the only team to break 310 both days in windy and cool conditions. The Diplomats won the tournament with a score of 612 (307-305), edging York (Pa.) by seven strokes.

Franklin & Marshall had the top two individual finishers in the field of 76 golfers. Christopher Gabriele won the tournament with a two-day score of 147 (74-73) while Brad Lankler was three shots off his pace with a 74-76.

Mewhirter led McDaniel with a score of 157 after carding a round of 81 on Saturday.

Dominic Seelig (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) had the next best Green Terror score, playing as an individual. He fired a team-low 78 on Saturday before posting an 81 on Sunday to finish 23rd with a score of 159.

Mason Woolford (Pasadena, Md.) placed 29th with a score of 160, following up his first-round score of 78 with a second-round total of 82.

Andrew Gordon (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax), also playing as an individual, posted a score of 163, carding an 81 on Saturday and an 82 on Sunday to finish 29th.

Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) and Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) combined to post four rounds of 82 to finish as part of tie for 46th place with a score of 164.

Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) rounded out the McDaniel scores with a 169 (86-83) to place 62nd.

The Green Terror opens the spring schedule at the Myrtle Beach Shootout over spring break.
