Clare Kavanagh got the Blue Jays (8-8, 5-4 CC) on the board just 9:40 into the contest, putting back a rebound off the first of her team's 17 penalty corners.
Victoria Piscopo broke down the right sideline in the 17th minute before crossing to Natalie Vicas, who finished in front of the cage for a 2-0 advantage.
Lucy Woodrow made it a 3-0 game with 1:08 to play in the first half.
Off a corner in the 43rd minute, Sarah Bach (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) found Price in the middle of the circle. Price tipped the ball up and in to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Caila White (Delmar, Md./Delmar) made seven saves for McDaniel, which needs to a win at Washington (Md.) on Saturday to secure a conference playoff berth.
Johns Hopkins finished with advantages of 15-11 in shots and 17-8 in penalty corners.
