GREENSPRING, Md. – Chris Jones (Centreville, Va./Centreville) crossed the line first to lead McDaniel to the team title at the Mustang Twilight Tune Up hosted by Stevenson in men's cross country action on Tuesday.
As a team, the Green Terror had the first four runners cross the line to finish with 17 points and earn its third straight team victory.
Johns Hopkins finished second with 39 points while Stevenson (79) and Goucher (99) rounded out the field in the final tune-up before conference championships.
Jones finished with a time of 12:50.8 in the 4,000-meter race.
Jim Heilman (Lutherville, Md./Baltimore Lutheran), Peter Merkel (Ellicott City, Md./Homeschool) and Calvin Ball (Westminster, Md./Westminster) rounded out the top four finishers.
Heilman finished with a time of 12:58.6 while Merkel was third in a time of 13:03.7 and Ball was right behind him in fourth place with a time of 13:04.3.
John Alexander (Lutherville, Md./Calvert Hall) placed seventh overall with a time of 13:18.9.
Colin LaPenta (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) crossed 11th overall in a time of 13:45.4 while Kyle Crouse (Keymar, Md./Francis Scott Key) rounded out the top seven McDaniel runners in 19th place with a time of 14:14.5.
Andrew Valliere (Laurel, Md./Atholton) and Richie Rutkin (New York City, N.Y./Churchill) were 24th (15:33.0) and 33rd (19:46.8), respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference Championship hosted by Haverford on Saturday, Nov. 1. Action begins at 11 a.m.
