LEXINGTON, Ky. – Freshman Brian Norwitz made his McDaniel debut with a 36-hole score of 148 to lead his team to a sixth-place finish at the Transylvania Fall Invitational at the University of Club Kentucky Golf Course in men's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.

The Green Terror finished with a two-day score of 606, five strokes behind the current top-ranked team in Division III and host Transylvania. McDaniel fired a round of 308 on Saturday before improving 10 shots to card a combined 298 on Sunday. Mt. St. Joseph won the tournament with a score of 588 (287-301).

Norwitz posted matching rounds of 74 to finish tied for 15th.

James Lillie (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) was one shot behind him after a team-low round of 73 on Sunday. He posted a 76 on Saturday to finish with a 149 in 20th place.

Alex Kane (Danvers, Mass./Masconomet Regional) finished 27th with a score of 151, posting a 74 on Sunday to improve three strokes from his opening-round score.

Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) placed 56th overall with a score of 158 (81-77) while Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) was 70th with a score of 160 (82-78).

The Green Terror returns to action at the Messiah Falcon Classic on Wednesday.
