ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Casey Marson (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) carded one of just four rounds under 90 to lead McDaniel at its own fall women's golf invitational on Saturday.
Marson, a freshman, posted her lowest round of the season with a score of 89 to finish third and lead the Green Terror to a second-place finish with a score of 364. Gettysburg won the tournament with a round of 347 behind individual champion Kara McNulty, who fired a round of 80.
Alise McNutt (Flourtown, Pa./Mount St. Josepth) joined Marson in the top five, finishing tied for fifth with a round of 90.
Katie Pass (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) placed ninth overall with her score of 92 while Bridget McLaughlin (Langhorne, Pa./Wyoming Seminary Upper) was tied for 10th, carding a round of 93.
Alex Philo (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) rounded out the McDaniel competitors in 20th place with a round of 121.
The Green Terror concludes the fall schedule at the Kutztown Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5 and 6.
