ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) carded an even-par 72 to win the Gettysburg Fall Invitational and lead McDaniel to the team title in men's golf action on Thursday.
As a team, the Green Terror posted a round of 301 at The Bridges Golf Club to outdistance Franklin & Marshall by three strokes at the 13-team tournament.
Alex Kane (Danvers, Mass./Masconomet Regional) finished sixth overall with a round of 75 while James Lillie (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) finished a shot behind Kane in a tie for 11th place overall.
Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) finished 20th with a round of 78 while Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) placed 21st with a round of 79.
Mike Filler (Baltimore, Md./Open Bible Christian Academy) and Mason Woolford played as individuals for McDaniel. Filler was 11th with a round of 76 while Woolford placed 38th, carding a round of 82.
The Green Terror returns to action at the William & Mary Invitational on Monday, Sept. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 1.
