LEWISBURG, Pa. – Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) and Alex Kane (Danvers, Mass./Masconomet Regional) each posted 54-hole scores of 226 to lead McDaniel to a sixth-place finish at the Bucknell Fall Invitational in men's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.

The duo finished tied for 13th overall, leading the Green Terror to a total of 913. McDaniel opened the tournament with a 301 in Saturday morning's round before following that up with a 305 in the afternoon to finish the day in sixth place. On Sunday, the squad posted a round of 307. Dartmouth won the 10-team tournament with a score of 875 (297-287-291).

Mewhirter opened his weekend with a round of 75 before improving a shot on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, he posted a round of 77.

Kane posted matching rounds of 76 on Saturday before registering a score of 74 in the final round.

James Lillie (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) finished 26th overall with a score of 229. He led the way on Saturday morning with a round of 74 before posting a 77 in round two and 78 in round three.

Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) finished 32nd overall with a score of 233 (76-78-79) while Steven Tanen (Laurel Hallow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) was 38th with a score of 236 (78-80-78).

The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational on Thursday.
