WESTMINSTER, Md. – Muhlenberg scored in the 20th minute and made that goal stand for a 1-0 win over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer opener for both teams on Saturday.

Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) made seven saves for the Green Terror (3-2, 0-1 CC) in goal.

Abby Lazofsky scored the lone goal for the Mules (3-2, 1-0 CC), finishing a Stephanie Tramutola pass 19:42 into the game.

Jen Mermelstein made three saves for Muhlenberg, which finished the game with a 12-5 advantage in shots and 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Julia Pope (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) had two of McDaniel's five shots.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Frostburg on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
