ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) shot a two-day score of 166 to finish tied for sixth overall and lead McDaniel to a sixth-place finish at its own spring invitational at The Bridges Golf Club in women's golf action on Saturday and Sunday.
The Green Terror combined to card a two-day total of 708, posting a score of 353 on Saturday and a round of 355 on Sunday.
Allegheny won the 11-team tournament with a score of 676 (337-339) behind individual champion Liz Blyth, who shot a total of 156 (79-77) over the two days.
Koopman turned in a round of 84 on Saturday before improving by two strokes with her score of 82 on Sunday.
Alise McNutt (Flourtown, Pa./Mount St. Joseph) and Katie Pass (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished tied for 25th with identical scores of 182. McNutt posted a 93 in the first round before shooting an 89 on Sunday while Pass reversed those scores with her two rounds.
Katherine Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) posted a score of 185 to finish tied for 27th, carding a round of 94 on Saturday and 91 on Sunday.
Liz Moir (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) turned in a round of 87 on Saturday before finishing with a score of 187 for the tournament to place 29th.
Bridget McLaughlin (Langhorne, Pa./Wyoming Seminary Upper) carded a score of 213 (109-104), playing as an individual to finish 47th in the 60-player field.
McDaniel returns to action at the Gettysburg Invitational on Thursday.
