NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) opened his spring season where left off the fall – winning a tournament to lead McDaniel to a second-place showing at the Myrtle Beach Shootout at Barefoot Golf Resort in men's golf action on Wednesday.
The Green Terror combined to fire a round of 309 behind Bowman's even-par 71. No other golfer shot better than a 74.
Denison won the team title with a round of 305 in the eight-team tournament.
Logan Connaughton (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) carded a round of 76 to finish tied for sixth overall while Kyle Chittim (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) also broke 80, posting a round of 78 to finish tied for 12th.
Dominic Seelig (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) posted a round of 84 while Cody Mewhirter (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) registered a score of 85. Seelig was 31st overall while Mewhirter finished 34th.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Dickinson Invitational on Wednesday.
