HERSHEY, Pa. – Alex Matos (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) carded a round of 77 to finish tied for ninth overall and lead McDaniel to an eighth-place finish at the Elizabethtown Fall Blue Jay Classic in men's golf action on Thursday.

The Green Terror B-Team, which included a trio of freshmen, combined to shoot a round of 327 on the East Course at Hershey Country Club. Messiah won the 16-team tournament with a round of 304.

In addition to the freshman Matos' top-10 finish, classmate Tim LaSarso Jr. (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) posted a top-25 finish in the 82-man field. LaSarso turned in a round of 80.

Dominic Seelig (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) finished 32nd overall with a score of 82 while Kevin Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) was tied for 61st after a round of 88.

Wes Talbot-Wendlandt (Gaithersburg, Md./Magruder) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with a score of 92 in 74th place.

The Green Terror concludes the fall season at its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at The Bridges Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Tee time is 9 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
