Box Score Miller records natural hat trick to key Muhlenberg win over McDaniel
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg scored two goals in each half to defeat McDaniel 4-0 in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer opener for both teams on Saturday.
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made five saves for the Green Terror (0-3, 0-1 CC) while Kristin Cochran (Jessup, Md./Hammond) had two stops in relief.
Nicolette Miller recorded a natural hat trick for the Mules (4-2, 1-0 CC), scoring the first three goals of the game in the game's first 47:34.
Miller knocked home a rebound off a blocked shot in the fourth minute before doubling the advantage in a 1-on-1 situation after she spun around her defender in the 32nd minute.
Meghan O'Grady crossed the ball through the box to Miller for a 3-0 lead in the 48th minute.
Audrey Zamichow converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute for the final margin.
Muhlenberg finished with a 26-4 advantage in shots.
McDaniel returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
