McDaniel finishes second at Myrtle Beach Shootout
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) fired a round of 93 to lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Shootout at Barefoot Golf Resort's Fazio Course in women's golf action on Tuesday.
The Green Terror combined to card a round of 405. Vassar won the three-team tournament with a combined 373 led by Alexandra Bello's tournament-low round of 81. Westminster (Pa.) rounded out the field with a score of 426.
Koopman finished third overall while Jennie Weiner (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) was fourth with a score of 95.
Jennipher Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) posted a score of 103 to finish tied for sixth.
Katherine Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) finished 11th with a score of 114.
McDaniel returns to action in its own spring invitational at the Bridges on Mar. 26-27. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. both days.
