Koopman makes its back-to-back 77s
CARLISLE, Pa. – For the second week in a row, Morgan
Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) posted a round of 77. This
time, however, it led McDaniel to the team title at the Dickinson
Fall Invitational at Mayapple Golf course in women's golf action on
Sunday.
The sophomore finished second overall and was once again the top
Division III golfer. Navy's Erica Jessen topped Koopman by a three
strokes with a round of 74.
The Green Terror combined to fire a 335 for its lowest team
score since 2004.
Jennie
Weiner (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) turned in a round of 82
to finish fourth overall.
Jennipher
Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) also finished
in the top 10 with a round of 85 to place seventh.
Katherine
Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) rounded out the
Green Terror golfers with a career-low round of 91 to finish
14th.
McDaniel returns to action at its own Fall Invitational at Piney
Branch Golf Club in a preview of the Centennial Conference
championship. Tee time is 12 p.m.
