Chittim cards 77 to lead McDaniel
HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. – Freshman Kyle Chittim (Annapolis,
Md./Broadneck) carded a 77 to lead McDaniel to a sixth-place finish
at the Susquehanna Fall Invitational in men's golf action on
Saturday.
With the starters off to prepare for Monday's Rehoboth
Beach Fall Invitational hosted by Division I Penn, the Green
Terror's B-team combined to shoot a 320, five strokes off the
winning round of 315 shot by Manhattan.
Penn State-Harrisburg (317), Gettysburg (318), Susquehanna (318)
and Scranton (319) rounded out the top five.
Chittim finished tied for sixth overall with his team-leading
score.
Chris Merrill (Kingsville, Md./Fallston) added a 78 to finish
tied for ninth while Drew Bell (Roswell, Ga./Pope) posted a 79 to
finish 13th.
Alec Kissell (Fort Washington, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) and
Conor O'Maille (Frederick, Md./Gonzaga) rounded out the
competitors with scores of 86 and 89, respectively.
The A-team will play 36 holes on Monday at Kings Creek Country
Club.
