Green Terror finishes 16th in 54-hole tournament
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Morgan
Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) fired a two-day, three-round
score of 260 to lead McDaniel to a 16th-place finish at the
Bucknell Invitational in women's golf action on Saturday and
Sunday.
The Green Terror finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of
1093, improving its score each round. The squad opened with a 370
in Saturday's morning round before firing a 363 in the afternoon
round. In much cooler conditions on Sunday, McDaniel combined for a
round of 360 at the primarily Division I tournament.
The host Bison won the tournament with a 903 (303-304-296).
Koopman and Jennie
Weiner (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) finished tied for 64th
place overall. Koopman sandwiched rounds of 86 around a
second-round 88. Weiner carded rounds of 89 around a second-round
82.
Jennipher
Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood Ridge) finished 78th
overall, posting a score of 278. She opened with a 99 before coming
back with a 94 in Saturday's afternoon round and posted a team-best
85 on Sunday.
Katherine
Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) finished 82nd with a
score of 295 (96-99-100).
The Green Terror returns to action at the Gettysburg Fall
Invitational on Sunday.
