Zamostny captures pair of top 15s to pace Green Terror
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Jake Zamostny (Mt. Airy, Md./South
Carroll) finished sixth in the 3,000-meter race to lead McDaniel to
a fourth-place finish in its own Green Terror Challenge in
men's cross country action on Saturday.
The Green Terror combined to score 207 points, finishing behind
Mary Washington (36), York (Pa.) (80) and Hood (173). McDaniel was
fourth in the 3K event with 95 points and sixth in the 5K with 102
points.
In the 5,000-meter race, Zamostny was 14th in a time of 17:12.
Ron Shriver (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) crossed 31st in a
time of 18:02 while CJ Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll)
finished 40th in a time of 18:20.
In the 3K, Zamostny completed the course in a time of 10:03.
Shriver and Naper crossed 25th (10:33) and 26th (10:36),
respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the York (Pa.)
Invitational on Saturday.
