Green Terror cards 377 in opening action of spring
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Val Saucier
(Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) posted a round of 85 to finish
second overall and lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the
Myrtle Beach Shootout in women's golf action on Tuesday.
The Green Terror registered a combined score of 377 in the
four-team event. SUNY Cortland won the event with 367. Vassar, led
by individual medalist Celynne Balatbat's
round of 84, finished second with a 373. Denison rounded out the
field with a 426 in breezy conditions on the difficult Dye Club
course at Barefoot Golf Resort.
Morgan Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) posted
a round of 96 to finish tied for eighth in the 21-player field
while Nicole Cristy (Towson, Md./Bryn Mawr) tied
for 10th overall with a round of 97.
Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood
Ridge) finished with a 99 while Jennie Weiner
(Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) carded a round of 101
Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) posted a
score of 105, playing as an individual.
The Green Terror returns to action at its own invitational on
Mar. 27-28. Action begins at 8:30 a.m. both days.
