DMR leads Green Terror at conference meet
HAVERFORD, Pa. - The distance medley relay team of C.J.
Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll), Rick
Gonzalez (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills), Ron
Shriver (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Rob
Kelvey (Westminster, Md./Westminster) turned in a time of
11:25.90 to finish eighth and lead McDaniel at the 2010 Centennial
Conference men's indoor track and field championship hosted by
Haverford on Saturday.
The relay accounted for the Green Terror's lone point. Dickinson
won the team title with 129 points while Haverford was second with
107.5 points.
James Ways (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) had
the top individual performance, finishing 10th in the 400 (52.75
seconds), 12th in the 200 (23.89) and 19th in the 55 (7.02).
Kevin Bowman (Westminster, Md./Brunswick) added
a 10th-place showing in the mile (4:31.85) while Steve
Weatherhold (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) was 10th in the
shot put (11.51 meters).
