Hernandez leads way with program record in weight
SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Carlos Hernandez (Derwood,
Md./Magruder) hurled the weight throw 11.66 meters to set
the program record in the event and lead McDaniel at the
Susquehanna Invitational in men's indoor track and field action on
Saturday.
Hernandez's throw placed him 11th in the event to pace the Green
Terror at the non-scoring meet.
James Ways (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill)
notched McDaniel's top individual finish with a fifth-place showing
in the 200 with a time of 23.94. He added a 15th-place finish in
the 400 (53.76).
C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll)
placed 12th in the 800 with a time of 2:04.09 while Rob
Kelvey (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was 13th in the
5,000 with a time of 16:12.15.
Kevin Bowman (Westminster, Md./Brunswick)
crossed 11th the mile with a time of 4:34.37 before adding a
21st-place showing in the 5,000 (16:32.25).
The Green Terror returns to action at the DuCharme Invitational
hosted by Dickinson on Saturday.
