Naper places fourth to pace Green Terror
FREDERICK, Md. – CJ Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll)
finished fourth overall to lead McDaniel to an eighth-place finish
at the Hood Invitational in men's cross country action on
Saturday.
The Green Terror, running with just five runners, combined for
225 points. Bridgewater won the team title with 24 points.
Naper finished the 8K course in a time of 28:17.22, finishing
just 33 behind the Eagles' Jake Griffin, who won the race in
a time of 27:44.33.
Ron Shriver (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) finished 20th
overall with a time of 29:21.13.
Daveed Sumpter (Westminster, Md./South Carroll) finished with a
time of 34:02.03.
Dylan Ryan (River Forest, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) and
Daniel Scott (Monkton, Md./Rock Point) rounded out the McDaniel
competitors with times of 35:31.19 and 39:19.07, respectively.
The Green Terror takes next week off before returning to action
at the Centennial Conference Championship hosted by Johns Hopkins
on Oct. 30. Race time is 12 p.m.
