Box Score Green Terror tally five in final 35 minutes as part of 8-0 win
over Bryn Mawr
WESTMINSTER, Md. - Jessica Largent (Denton, Md./North
Caroline) scored twice as part of McDaniel's 8-0
Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey victory over Bryn Mawr on
Saturday.
The Green Terror (3-5, 1-1 CC) finished the game with a 26-1
advantage in shots and 17-0 advantage in penalty corners.
Elizabeth Toft led the Owls (0-9, 0-4 CC) in
the cage, making 10 saves.
Kaitlin Boerman (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake)
found Kathryn Corson (Ocean View, N.J./Ocean City)
for the first of her three assists just 1:03 into the game.
In the 24th minute, Boerman inserted a penalty corner that
Corson stopped and Largent fired into the cage to double the lead.
Just 59 seconds before halftime, it was Eliza Blatchford
(Gloucester, Mass./Manchester Essex Regional) found the
backboard for her first collegiate tally. Boerman and
Lindsay Riordon (Monkton, Md./Hereford) recorded
the assists on the goal.
Mandy Pickard (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll),
Riordon, Largent and Emma Ardolino (Freeland,
Md./Hereford) all notched unassisted tallies to stretch
the lead to 7-0 by the 53:35 mark.
Michelle Deitrick (Mt. Lakes, N.J./Mt. Lakes)
tallied her first career goal off a Paige Messersmith
(Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) feed in the 66th minute for the
final margin.
McDaniel returns to action at home against York (Pa.) on Monday.
