Kelvey finishes fifth overall to lead Green Terror to
fifth-place finish
YORK, Pa. - Rob Kelvey (Westminster,
Md./Westminster) finished fifth overall in the 8,000-meter
race to lead McDaniel to an fifth-place showing at the York (Pa.)
Invitational in men's cross country action on Saturday.
The Green Terror recorded 144 points as a team. Johns Hopkins
won the team title with 31 points.
Kelvey completed the course in a season-best time of 26:43.35.
CJ Naper (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll)
finished 42nd overall in a time of 28:40.28 while Ron
Shriver (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) was 54th in a
time of 29:11.74.
Russell Morin (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) and
Graham Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford)
rounded out the McDaniel competitors, crossing 63rd (30:06.33) and
81st (32:36.41), respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Paul Short Run on
Friday.
