Mules notch 5-0 win over McDaniel

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Meghan O'Grady tallied twice in the game's first 25:43 to key Muhlenberg's 5-0 win over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer opener for both teams on Saturday.

The Mules (4-2, 1-0 CC) notched four goals before 32 minutes had elapsed in the game and finished with a 30-6 advantage in shots over the Green Terror (1-5, 0-1 CC), who were shut out for the fifth time this season.

Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made nine saves in 76 minutes of action in goal while Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made two in the final 14 minutes.

O'Grady finished an unassisted goal in the upper-left corner at the 11:17 mark to get Muhlenberg on the board before finishing the first of Lauren Petri's two assists in the 26th minute.

Just 2 minutes, 10 seconds later, Petri found Nicolette Miller for a 3-0 lead before Miller headed home a Christina O'Grady cross at the 32-minute mark.

O'Grady then found Natalie Wizel with 1:30 to play for the final margin.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Frostburg on Thursday. Game time is 4 p.m.
