Green Terror finish 12th at 54-hole Bucknell Invitational
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Val Saucier (Cockeysville,
Md./Dulaney) shot a 54-hole total of 265 to finish tied
for 51st overall and lead McDaniel to a 12th-place showing at the
Bucknell Invitaitonal in women's golf action on Saturday and
Sunday.
In its first action of the fall, the Green Terror posted a
three-round total of 1,082 over the two-day invitational in a field
comprised mostly of Division I programs.
McDaniel opened the weekend with a round of 358 in Saturday's
morning session before carding a 369 in the afternoon session. On
Sunday, the Green Terror posted a score of 355.
William & Mary won the 12-team tournament with a score of
893 (294-301-298).
Saucier posted a score of 84 in Sunday's final round after
turning in cards of 90 and 91, respectively, on Saturday.
Nicole Cristy (Towson, Md.) and Morgan
Koopman (Finksburg, Md./McDonogh) finished tied for 54
with matching scores of 268. Cristy went 86-93 on Saturday and
registered a round of 89 on Sunday while Koopman went 89-92 in the
first two rounds before posting an 87 on Sunday in her first
collegiate action.
Anna Bencriscutto (Oro Valley, Ariz./Ironwood
Ridge) posted a total of 281 (93-93-95) to finish 58th
while Jennie Weiner (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville)
recorded a total of 288 (96-97-95) to finish tied for 61st.
Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) posted a
score of 303 (98-102-103), playing as an individual.
The Green Terror returns to action in the Mt. Holyoke
Invitational on Sept. 26-27.
