HERSHEY, Pa. – Three McDaniel players carded a round of 79
to lead McDaniel to a seventh-place finish at the Elizabethtown
Blue Jay Classic at Hershey Country Club in men's golf action
on Thursday.
The Green Terror posted a team score of 317, five strokes behind
event winner York (Pa.), who shot a 312 to edge Dickinson by two
strokes.
Susquehanna finished third with a round of 315 while Cabrini,
Elizabethtown and Moravian all shot 316 to finish in a tie for
fourth place.
Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville),
Paul Kovalcheck (Fairless Hills, Pa./Truman) and
KJ Mazurek (Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven)
finished as part of a 12-way tie for 18th place
overall.
Jeff Smith (Elkridge, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) posted
a round of 80 to finish 30th while Alex Campbell
(Howell, N.J./Wall) shot an 86 to finish 59th
in the 19-team, 99-player field.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Glenmaura National
Collegiate Invitational on Apr. 19-20.
