MOOSIC, Pa. – Alex Campbell (Howell,
N.J./Wall) fired a 74 to finish tied for second and lead
McDaniel to a second-place tie at the Glenmaura National Collegiate
Invitational in men's golf action on Sunday.
The Green Terror trailed York (Pa.) by two strokes after
Sunday's first round. However Monday's second round was
cancelled due to rain, making the 18-hole scores the tournament
final scores. The Spartans finished with a 308, two strokes ahead
of McDaniel and Elizabethtown in the 12-team field.
Paul Kovalcheck (Fairless Hills, Pa./Truman) added
a score of 76 to finish tied for eighth while Jeff Smith
(Elkridge, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) and KJ Mazurek
(Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) both carded rounds of 80
for the Green Terror.
Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) rounded
out the competitors with an 81.
The Green Terror, the defending conference champions, returns to
action at the Centennial Conference Championship at the Bridges
Golf Club on Friday-Sunday. Tee time on Friday is 1 p.m.
