KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Elyse Massa (Wescosville,
Pa./Emmaus) shot matching rounds of 87 to finish tied for
second place overall at the two-day Kutztown Invitational in
women's golf action on Friday and Saturday.
Massa posted a two-day total of 174 to finish one stroke behind
individual medalist Christina Hall (Mt. St.
Mary's), who shot an 85 on Saturday to win the
event.
As a team, the Green Terror shot a 739 (379-360) to finish third in
the four-team event. Mt. St. Mary's won the tournament with a
two-day score of 716. Kutztown finished second with a 736 while
Mercyhurst was fourth at 757.
Valerie Saucier (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) fired
a 187 (95-92) to finish tied for 10th while
Jennie Weiner (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville)
and Nicole Cristy (Towson, Md.) finished tied for
13th with a 189.
Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) shot a
208.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference
Championships at Olde Homestead on Saturday and Sunday.
