Smith leads B-team in 12-team field
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Jeff Smith (Elkridge, Md./Cardinal
Gibbons) fired a round of 78 to lead McDaniel to a
three-way tie for second place at the 12-team Gettysburg Fall
Invitational in men's golf action on Tuesday.
Playing with the B-team, the Green Terror battled windy
conditions and fast greens to shoot a 331 without three of its top
golfers and match the scores posted by Albright and Keystone.
Messiah won the tournament going away with a 300.
Smith's score placed him in a two-way tie for fifth place - the
first non-Falcon individual finisher.
Greg Bowman (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville)
finished tied for 10th with a round of 81 while Conor
O'Maille (Frederick, Md./Gonzaga) fired an 83 in his first
action of the season.
Bryan Johnson (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll)
and Chris Merrill (Kingsville, Md./Fallston) each
carded rounds of 89.
