LEWISBURG, Pa. – Val Saucier (Cockeysville,
Md./Dulaney) shot a two-round total of 175 to lead
McDaniel to a 12th-place finish at the Bucknell
Invitational in women's golf action on Sunday.
Playing 36 holes on Sunday after Saturday's opening round was
rained out, the Green Terror combined to shoot a two-round total of
754, firing a 376 in the morning round and a 378 in the afternoon
session. Penn State won the primarily Division I tournament with a
total score of 610 (313-297).
Saucier finished 49th overall, carding an 86 in the
first round and an 89 in the second round.
Elyse Massa (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) and
Nicole Cristy (Towson, Md.) placed 62nd
(187) and 63rd (189), respectively. Massa's better
round came in round one with a 93 while Cristy shot her better
round in the afternoon with a 92.
Jennie Weiner (Stony Brook, N.Y,/Ward Melville)
and Amy Glock (Lineboro, Md./Hereford) rounded out
the McDaniel competitors finishing 65th (203) and
66th (205), respectively.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Kutztown Invitaitional on
Friday.
