Georgiana officially joined the Green Terror staff in 2008-09after serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2007-08season.
In his fifth year on staff, Georgiana came to McDaniel after asuccessful three-year stint as the head coach at Westminster HighSchool, where he amassed a record of 37-31. While there, he wasnamed Coach of the Year in 2005.
Prior to his time as the varsity coach at Westminster, he servedas the freshman girls coach at Francis Scott Key and Westminster aswell as the assistant freshman coach at Winters Mill.
Since 1991, he has served as the commissioner of WestminsterGirls Basketball, a group he organized and created. Currently, 450girls participate in the program after starting with 110.
All told, Georgiana has 31 years of experience coachingbasketball.
A 1997 graduate of Western Maryland, Georgiana earned his degreein exercise science and physical education and is currentlypursuing his masters degree at McDaniel. He is a middle schoolteacher in Carroll County, working at the Gateway School and withthe B.E.S.T. program at East Middle.
Georgiana resides in Westminster with his wife Denise. They havethree daughters, Brittany, Steffney and Dellaney and onegranddaughter, Braelyn.
