Rhoten returns to the Green Terror sports medicine staff in March 2021 as a full-time assistant athletic trainer.

Since spending two years as a graduate assistant in the program from 2018-20, Rhoten served for the last year as an athletic trainer with Select Medical Physical Thearpy in Westminster. He served Winters Mill as an athletic trainer, providing coverage for varsity and junior varsity sports. In addition to coordinating athlete care with local doctors, physical therapists, school nurse, and other medical professionals, he also conducted COVID-19 screening and antigen testing.

Rhoten earned his bachelor's in athletic training at Liberty, where he served as a student trainer, working primarily with the football and women's basketball programs.

Rhoten graduated from Liberty in 2018 with a bachelor of science in athletic training before earning his masters in kinesiology from McDaniel in 2020.
