Catharine Behrenshausen

Behrenshausen joined the Green Terror staff in April 2021 as Assistant Athletic Trainer. She was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer in June 2023 and promoted to Director of Sports Medicine and Performance in April 2026.

Behrenshausen came to McDaniel from Division I Lehigh. She began as a student intern in 2013, working primarily with the football team. From 2014-16, she served as a staff athletic trainer and sports medicine apprentice while completing her Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion at California University of Pennsylvania. She joined Lehigh full-time as an Assistant Director of Sports Medicine in the summer of 2016.

With the Mountain Hawks, Behrenshausen worked primarily with volleyball, field hockey, swimming and diving, baseball, and men's wrestling. She also coordinated recruit medical screening questionnaires for prospects and was the liaison with the Health and Wellness Center on the pre-participation process. She also volunteered at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championships.

Behrenshausen played was an athletic training major and field hockey player at Division III Kean before completing her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training at East Stroudsburg in 2014.

Behrenshausen currently resides in Hanover, Pa. with her husband Derek, who serves as the Director of Athletic Communications at York College of Pennsylvania. The couple has two children, Carter and Chloe, and a dog, Porter.
