WESTMINSTER, Md. - Six individuals will be inducted into the McDaniel College Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, October 2 to kickoff Homecoming Weekend.

The class of 2026 includes Caroline Brehm '15 (softball), Brad Brooks '16 (men's swimming), Chloe Allen-Gorman '16 (women's soccer, track & field), Rob Johns '02 (men's wrestling), Phyllis Landry '80 (track & field), and Harry Peoples '80 (football, track & field).

The 48th class of the McDaniel College Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration in Big Baker beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 2. The class will also be recognized at halftime of the Homecoming football game against Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, October 3.

The Athletics Hall of Fame, sponsored by the McDaniel College Alumni Association, honors former student-athletes who have achieved prominence in their chosen fields and who also have made contributions to society. An athlete must be separated from intercollegiate competition at the College for a minimum ten-year period for nomination. Any coach, staff, administrator or manager nominated may be inducted in that role immediately after retirement in that capacity.

Caroline Brehm '15

The greatest pitcher in McDaniel and Centennial Conference history, Caroline Brehm was a four-time Centennial Pitcher of the Year and four-time All-Centennial Conference First Team selection. She was also a two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-region honoree.

In four seasons from 2012-15, Brehm led the Green Terror to four Centennial Conference tournament appearances, two Centennial Conference championships, two NCAA regionals, and two Eastern College Athletic Conference tournament appearances.

Brehm made 148 career appearances, totaling 126 complete games, 93 wins, and 1,359 strikeouts in 928.2 innings — all McDaniel and Centennial Conference records. She still ranks second all-time in NCAA Division III history in complete games, third in innings pitched, and third in strikeouts.

Brehm led the nation with 377 strikeouts as a first-year student-athlete in 2012 and did it again as a junior in 2014 with 396. She is the only player in conference history to have three 300-strikeout seasons.

On May 12, 2012, Brehm set a Centennial Conference record with 20 strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over Ferrum in 14 innings in NCAA regionals, finishing one strikeout shy of the NCAA tournament record.

She graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Bradley "Brad" Brooks '16

One of the most decorated student-athletes in the history of McDaniel College Athletics, Brooks was a four-time All-American and 10-time Centennial Conference champion in men's swimming.

Brooks qualified for three NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, earning three All-America honors in the 1,650-yard freestyle and one in the 500-yard freestyle. He finished fourth in the 1,650 free in 2013; 10th in 2014; and 13th in 2016. He finished 10th in the 500 free in 2013.

In four conference championship meets, Brooks earned 10 gold and two silver medals. He was named Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet in 2013 and 2015 and holds Centennial Conference records in both the 1,000- and 1,650-yard freestyle. He also holds 15 McDaniel College records.

Brooks was a three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-American, the inaugural Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2015, and the recipient of the 2016 NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award, presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site of the NCAA championship.

Brooks is currently an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse after spending seven years as the head coach at Penn State Altoona, where he was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 2025. He began his coaching career as an assistant at McDaniel during the 2016-17 season.

He graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.

Chloe Allen-Gorman '16

An accomplished two-sport athlete, Chloe Allen-Gorman competed in women's soccer and women's track and field from 2012-16.

Allen-Gorman was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American and First Team All-Region selection in 2015. She was also a two-time All-Centennial Conference selection, earning first team honors in 2015 while leading McDaniel to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.

A defender, Allen-Gorman started all 72 games in which she appeared during her career, totaling over 6,500 minutes played. She had one career point with an assist in a 2-1 win over Franklin & Marshall at home on Oct. 9, 2013.

Allen-Gorman has played professionally since 2017. That year, she played for the U.S. Women's Futsal National Team in the 2017 AMF World Cup. In 2024, she earned Player of the Year honors for Aalborg BK in Denmark. She currently plays for Vermont Green FC, winners of the Northeast Division and Eastern Conference titles during its inaugural season in the USL W League in 2026.

Allen-Gorman also holds the indoor track records in both the 800 meters and the 1,000 meters and ranks in the top 10 in five other events, including four relays.

In outdoor track, Allen-Gorman contributed to three relay program records and ranks in the top 10 in the 800 meters, the 1,500 meters, and the 4x400-meter relay. In 2014, she earned a bronze medal in the 4x400-meter relay at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

She graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Physics.

William "Rob" Johns Jr. '02

One of the first All-Americans in men's wrestling history, Johns finished seventh at 157 pounds at the 2000 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship. That year, he was one of three All-Americans, the most in a single season in program history.

Johns totaled 60 wins in three seasons for the Green Terror after transferring from Division I Wagner College. He currently ranks 10th in program history with an .811 winning percentage, totaling a 60-14 record from 1999-2002.

Johns was a two-time Centennial Conference champion at 157 pounds in 2000 and 2001, earning two All-Centennial Conference First Team selections. He also ranks 10th in program history for falls in a single season, totaling 15 in 2000-01.

Under Head Coach John Lowe, Johns was a member of three consecutive Centennial Conference championship teams from 2000-02. During that time, he was also one of five All-America selections for the Green Terror, who posted an overall record of 43-12, including a mark of 14-2 in the Centennial Conference.

Johns graduated in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. He has spent 23 years proudly serving the Baltimore County Fire Department, serving the last eight as the fire captain of the Edgemere and Sparrows Point Fire Stations. He also served as an assistant coach at McDaniel during the 2002-03 season.

Johns was also a wrestling coach at his high school alma mater, Calvert Hall College High School. He has been member of A Soldier's Journey Home for almost a decade, an organization of firefighters who build homes for a disabled veterans throughout the country.

Phyllis Landry '80

A trailblazer in track and field, Phyllis Landry was the first woman in McDaniel history to compete in the sport for all four years. She was a five-time Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) medalist and three-time All-MAC selection.

Landry won the MAC Championship in the 200 meters in 1979 and the 4x100-meter relay in 1980. She also finished second at the conference championship in the 100 meters in 1979, second in the 4x400-meter relay in 1980, and third in the 4x100 in 1979.

Landry was a two-time Outstanding Female Track Performer in 1979 and 1980, and she ranks third in program history in scoring at the MAC Championship. Her record in the 100 meters remained unbroken for 14 years and currently holds strong at fourth. She held the 200 meter record for five years.

Landry made her mark on track and field at McDaniel, recruiting nine of the 11 members of the inaugural women's team in 1979. Before that, she competed on the men's team and earned a varsity letter in 1978.

Landry was also a manager for the men's soccer team before graduating in 1980 with a degree in Psychology. For 36 years, Landry was involved with supporting individuals with developmental disabilities across the state of Maryland. Her career included direct care for individuals, program management, staff training, and quality assurance, as well as serving as an executive director for three different agencies.

Harrison "Harry" Peoples '80

A defensive anchor for Green Terror football, Harry Peoples earned All-America and First Team All-State honors in 1980. He was also a two-time All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection.

Peoples ranks third in program history for sacks in a single season with 12.0 in 1979. He also totaled 8.0 sacks in 1980 and ranks fourth in program history with 20.0 career sacks.

A disruptive defensive lineman, Peoples holds the single-season school record for fumble recoveries with four in 1980 and ranks sixth with five career fumble recoveries. He also forced two fumbles in 1979.

Peoples ranks 12th in program history for total tackles with 122 in 1979 — 42 solo and 80 assisted.

Peoples was also a four-year member of the men's outdoor track and field team. His javelin throw of 177-feet, 7-inches at Franklin & Marshall in 1978 still ranks seventh. One of the team's top scorers, he totaled over 100 points in his career.

He graduated in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies.
