McDaniel Wins Fifth-Straight With 16-4 Road Win at Guilford

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Kat Thayer scored a career-high seven goals as the McDaniel College women's lacrosse scored the first seven goals en route to a 16-4 road victory at Guilford Wednesday.

With five consecutive wins, the Green Terror (6-3) have posted their longest win streak since 2022 when they started the season 5-0.

Thayer surpassed her previous career-best of six goals set twice, including earlier this season against Hood on Feb. 25, 2026. She added one assist, finishing with eight points for the second-straight game.

Senior Addison Utterback totaled a career-high seven points with two goals and a career-best five assists while first-year Olivia Foulke netted her fourth career hat-trick with a career-high four goals and five points.

McDaniel scored the game's first seven goals to take a 7-0 lead with 9:48 remaining in the second quarter. Thayer scored four of the seven goals while Utterback had one goal and four assists. Junior Emily Conklin also had a goal and two assists.

Conklin tied her career high with four points, finishing with one goal and a career-high three assists. She also totaled five ground balls, two caused turnovers, and seven draw controls.

Emily Parker put the Quakers (3-5) on the board with 8:09 left and scored three of the final five in the half cut their deficit to six at halftime, 9-3.

The Green Terror opened the second half with three consecutive goals from Foulke as they outscored home team 7-1 in the second half to post their third-largest victory of the season.

Senior Caleigh Kohr got the start and totaled five saves over the first three quarters to improve her record to 3-3 this season. She now has 297 career saves, moving her into sole possession of ninth place on the program's all-time list, breaking a tie with Marcie Delahoz who had 292 from 1993-95.

Senior Emma Wood made her second-straight appearance in relief, finishing with one save over the final five minutes.

McDaniel tied a season high with 42 shots for the third time this season while winning a season-best 15 draw controls. Sophomore Claire Hamilton also scored her first career goal with 4:35 to play in the fourth quarter.

The Green Terror conclude their three-game road trip on Saturday when they open Centennial Conference play at Muhlenberg. Opening draw is set for 7 p.m.
