STEVENSON, Md. - Freshmen Stephanie Buttons and Jillian Lasher each posted individual wins as the McDaniel College women's tennis team fell at Stevenson on the Greenspring Tennis Courts Sunday, 5-2.

The Green Terror (4-7) lost for just the second time in the last six matches against the Mustangs.

Stevenson earned the first point with two wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Buttons and senior Mackenzie McCarter fell to Shelby Carter and Ariella Stepleman at No. 1 while Lasher and senior Nakayla Lawson fell to Kara Chwang and Sofia McCoy at No. 2 doubles.

The Mustangs (6-4) posted wins at No. 2, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles to secure the match before Buttons earned McDaniel's first win of the day with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles over Carter.

Lasher totaled the second win for the Green Terror with a 6-3, 6-1 win against McCoy at No. 4 singles.

The Green Terror return to action on Friday, April 11 at York (Pa.) for match beginning at 4 p.m.
