CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Junior
Kat Thayer scored her 100th career point as the McDaniel College women's lacrosse team fell to Washington College on the road Saturday at Roy Kirby Jr Stadium, 25-9.
The Green Terror (5-7, 0-4 CC) trailed by just two, 7-5 with 3:49 remaining in the first quarter, before the Shorewomen scored seven-straight and 10 of the next 11 to take a 17-6 halftime lead.
Thayer finished with three goals and four points and now has 65 goals and 38 assists for 103 career points. She also added three draw controls. Her goal with 12:33 remaining in the first quarter marked her 100th career point and was assisted by junior
Addison Utterback.
Utterback also had four points with two goals and two assists.
Washington out-shot the visitors 23-9 in the first half and won 17 draw controls before adding six third-quarter tallies to stretch their advantage to 17.
McDaniel scored three goals in the fourth with the first two coming from Utterback before Thayer completed the hat-trick with 6:04 to play. It was Thayer's third hat-trick of the season and seventh of her career.

Kayonna Cook netted her first career goal with 5:33 left in the second quarter off an assist from Utterback while sophomore
Emily Conklin had five draw controls.

Caleigh Kohr made the 40th start of her career, making three first-half saves before freshman
Audrey Musser played the final 30 minutes and made two saves, both career highs.
McDaniel continues its two-game road trip next Saturday when its travels to Swarthmore. Opening draw is at 3 p.m.
