Eight-Goal Run Leads No. 4 Gettysburg Past Women's Lacrosse

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The McDaniel College women's lacrosse team trailed by just three late in the third quarter, but No. 4 Gettysburg scored eight consecutive goals to take its biggest lead en route to an 18-8 victory Wednesday on Clark Field.

Six different players scored for the Green Terror (6-10, 0-7 CC), led by three goals from junior Kat Thayer. She also added an assist for four points, two caused turnovers and three draw controls. Thayer now has 120 career draw controls, moving her into 10th on the program's all-time list.

McDaniel trailed 9-3 at halftime before scoring four of the first five goals to begin the second half, the last two of which came back-to-back from Thayer to pull the Green Terror within three, 10-7 with 1:31 remaining in the third.

However, the Bullets (14-2, 6-1 CC) scored eight unanswered goals to take their largest lead of the game, 18-7 with 4:36 left in the fourth. Maddie Passarello scored four of her seven goals while Emily Crane added three of her six.

Passarello and Crane combined for Gettysburg's first six goals as it took a 6-1 lead after Thayer gave the visitors an early 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the contest.

Junior Caleigh Kohr made 10 or more saves for the third time this season and now has 100 on the year. She now has 267 in 47 career games, just one shy of tying Hannah Miller '22 for 10th on the program's all-time list.

Sophomore Emily Conklin finished with one goal, one ground ball and five draw controls while Kohr added four ground balls.

McDaniel concludes the 2025 season on Saturday when it travels to Collegeville, Pa. to take on Ursinus. Opening draw is set for noon.
