WESTMINSTER, Md. – Freshman
Maximus Mullins hit a three-run home run in the first inning to highlight a 13-3 win for the McDaniel College baseball team over Centennial Conference rival Washington College on Tuesday from Preston Field.
The Green Terror (12-11-1, 3-0 CC) swept their five-game homestand and have won seven home games in a row. The team has started 3-0 in Centennial Conference play for the second straight season.
The Shoremen (15-9, 1-2 CC) opened the scoring with a three-run first inning, scoring on a wild pitch and two RBI singles. Junior
Ben Davis sent a two-run single into left center field to bring McDaniel within one, and Mullins blasted his second career homer to left field to give the Green Terror the lead after one, 5-3.
After a scoreless second, the Green Terror added three more runs in the third. Freshman

Henry Novarioeach added RBIs on sacrifice flies. McDaniel ended the third up 8-3.
The Green Terror scored twice on RBI groundouts from Stolba and Novario to increase the lead to 10-3 after seven. Three more runs came in to score in the eighth as junior
Matt Fuller drew a bases-loaded walk to score sophomore
Shea McKenna, Mullins smacked an RBI single to center field and Mezzullo drew another walk with the bases loaded. The final run triggered the 10-run rule and secured a 13-3 win for the Green Terror.
Mullins led the team at the plate, finishing the day 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a three-run homer. Davis had two base hits and a two-run single in the first, added to his team-high total of 34 RBIs. Mezzullo and Novario each added two RBIs while Haddock, Stolba and Fuller finished with one RBI each. Graduate Student
Joey Hubinger had a two-hit day while McKenna went 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

McDaniel faces Washington College again on Friday to wrap up a home-and-home with the Shoremen. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm.
