WESTMINSTER, Md. - Freshman
Jillian Lasher won her first collegiate match to lead the McDaniel College women's tennis in a 5-2 loss to Lycoming Sunday on the Warfield Tennis Courts.
Lasher made her college tennis debut at No. 5 singles with an impressive win, defeating Dillon Hutchinson Thomas 6-1, 6-2.Â
Freshman
Stephanie Buttons continued to improve her individual record at No. 1 singles, dominating against Rei Sarr with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
Senior
Lil Overcash made her tennis debut as well, partnering with Buttons at No. 1 doubles, losing to Sarr and Kelchner, 6-0.
Overcash then went to play two sets against Kelchner at No. 2 singles, winning four games in the first set before falling, 6-4, 6-0.
SeniorÂ
Mackenzie McCarter and seniorÂ
Nakayla Lawson partnered at No. 2 doubles, falling 6-1.
The Green Terror return to action at home ths Thursday, March 27 at 4 p.m. against Notre Dame of Maryland.
